Sofovir (Sofosbuvir) is indicated in combination with under medicinal products for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C in genotype 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The recommended dose of Sofovir is one 400mg tablet, taken orally, once daily with or without food. Sofosbuvir should be used in combination with ribavirin or in combination with pegylated interferon and ribavirin for the treatment of chronic hepatitus C (CHC) in adults.

1. HCV genotype 1 or 4 takes Sofovir (Sofosbuvir) with Ribavirin and Pegylated interferon for 12 weeks.
2. HCV genotype 2 takes Sofovir (Sofosbuvir) with Ribavirin for 12 weeks (without interferon).
3. HCV genotype 3 takes Sofovir (sofosbuvir with Ribavirin for 24 weeks (without interferon).
(Interferon is injected under the skin, and ribavirin is taken by mouth.)

Using this Sofovir (Sofosbuvir) together with ribavirin while you are pregnant can harm your unborn baby. The combination of Sofovir (Sofosbuvir), Ribavirin and Pegylated interferon can cause serious birth defects. If a pregnancy occurs to mother, while either partners are using these medicines at the time, tell your doctor right away.

To make sure you are not pregnant, your doctor may ask you to have a pregnancy test before you start using this medicine. You must have a negative pregnancy test before you will be allowed to use this medicine with ribavirin.
